LIBRARY TRUSTEES ADOPT DISTRICT STRATEGIC PLAN This strategic plan is designed to help the library accomplish the mission of providing easy access to information, ideas, books and technology that enrich, educate and empower every individual in our districts diverse communities. The plan will also serve as a blueprint for building on the library's success in providing new facilities, technology, materials and programs that benefit all the people of the District. Critical to the success of this plan is the continuing support of library users, support groups, business and community leaders, and library staff and the Board of Trustees. This action plan consists of the following: Goals - To help the Library succeed in its mission Activities - To help the library meet its goals Objectives - To help measure the success of activities and goals Organizational Competencies - To enable the library to achieve the goals This plan will drive the budget for 2009 and beyond and will be referred to and used in decision making processes as we move forward. The total 37 page plan can be viewed here or a shorter version can be asked for from the District Administration office. 12/5/2008 FORT COLLINS REGIONAL LIBRARY DISTRICT ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The Fort Collins Regional Library District announces the departure of its executive director Brenda Carns. Carn's last day was Nov. 21. The district's Harmony Library Branch Manager Ken Draves has been named interim director and a national search will be launched to fill the executive director's position. 11/24/2008 BOARD OF TRUSTESS CONTINUE THEIR WORK The Strategic Planning Process continues, driven by input from the Library Management Team and Director, the Board of Trustees, and the Planning Committee chosen from a broad cross-section of community volunteers. 6/1/2008 2007 FORT COLLINS REGIONAL LIBRARY DISTRICT ANNUAL REPORT The Board of Trustees and Staff of your Library District have made great headway in fulfilling the promises made in the successful Library District election.
