Amanda Quijano, Vice-President
After graduating from Poudre High School, she studied in Brazil as a Rotary Club exchange student. This started a lifelong yearning for travel and cultural study, culminating in a 6-month tour of Asia and Europe with husband Mike and four children to celebrate Mike's retirement from the Navy.
She graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and received her Master's in Educational Psychology from University of Hawaii. She has been an aviator, a teacher for gifted and dyslexic middle school students, a researcher for education of military kids and for nuclear nonproliferation, and a Naval officer in the landlocked country of Afghanistan.
She currently enjoys exploring the area with family, serving as a Navy Reservist, working on her home and garden, and taking advantage of the myriad of outdoor, cultural, and school volunteer opportunities available here in Northern Colorado.
