Electronic Literacy Classes
The Poudre River Public Library District offers a suite of free computer classes and free eMedia classes to promote information literacy. The classes cover computer basics, social networking, Internet searching, and Microsoft Office 2010.
Handouts for each class are available by clicking on the links (e.g. Word handout) in each section. Handouts are valuable for customers who have missed out on a place in a particular course, as well as for customers wishing to refresh their memory of skills learned in class. You can also look at the handouts prior to coming to class. All classes are 2 hours in length, unless otherwise noted. Please note the date and time of the classes that you have registered for on your calendar. Please call to cancel if you are not able to come to class. If you have a confirmed place in a class, please be on-time or your place may be given up to others waiting. All classes require you to either have taken the Computer Comfort class or have a basic understanding of using the computer and the mouse. Our class instructors have selected websites that offer excellent online tutorials that are free and self-paced. If you cannot get into a class because it is already full, this is an option that you can use to still learn about Microsoft Office programs, Facebook, and more.
