General Donations
The Friends of the Library, on behalf of the Library, accepts donations of used books and items at any time. Donations can be dropped off at any of the three libraries.

During the temporary closure of Main Library (Dec. 2011) donations will be taken in the back of the Webster House Administrative Center, 301 E. Olive.

Donated materials are reviewed for possible addition to the library collection. Those not selected for the library are given to the Friends for potential use in their book sales. All donations are accepted on a 'no strings attached' basis and become the property of the library or the Friends of the Library.

Receipts for donations are available at the circulation desks at the three libraries.

Specific Donations
Donations of specific items to be added to the collection must be pre-approved. Forms and information are available in the Administration Office by calling 221-6740.

Monetary donations are accepted in the Administration Office at 301 E. Olive St. The donor will be asked to fill out a donation form. Gift plates can be placed in items on request of the donor.

Donations of Magazines
Donations of used magazines are not accepted by the library or the Friends of the Library. Questions about donations of magazine subscriptions should be referred to Collections Development Services.

The Poudre River Library Trust
The Poudre River Library Trust is a 501(c)3 fundraising arm of the Library District. The Trust's endowment fund is held by the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. The fund is growing each year due to the generosity of past and present library customers. If you would like to find out how you can contribute to the Library Fund, please call the Library Director at 221-6670, or view their web page at www.PoudreLibraries.org/trust.

Gift-a-Book Donations
Gift-a-Book donations of $350 or more should be given to the Friends of the Library or the Administrative Office. The gifts are acknowledged and records are kept of all letters. The Collection Development Librarian selects and makes yearly lists of all Gift-a-Book selections. These lists are kept in the Administrative Office.

Other Donations
Any other donations, such as artwork, plants, furniture, money for special projects, or other requests, must be approved by the Library Director.
