To get a library card, you must present a valid Colorado Driver's License, Colorado Identification Card, or a Colorado junior or senior high school photo ID.

If presenting another form of photo ID, it must be combined with one proof of Colorado address, such as a piece of mail delivered to your residence or post office box, a lease agreement, printed bank checks with address, car registration, etc.

If you are under the age of 16 and have no photo ID, a parent or legal guardian must be present, show proof of residence and photo ID, and sign the card application.

Parents/Guardians are financially responsible for their child's account and for the selection and use of resources by their minor children.

The first library card is FREE, with a $1.00 replacement charge for a lost or stolen card. Treat your library card as you would your credit card; report a lost or stolen card immediately.

Your library card will expire and need to be renewed every two years. To renew the card you will need present valid photo ID at the Circulation Desk. You will keep your original barcode number.

Temporary and out-of-state residents may obtain a library card. Ask a Circulation employee for more information.

We honor cards from other Colorado public libraries as part of the Colorado Library Card(CLC) project. A card from Poudre River Public Library District will be issued with a show of address to these card holders.
