Once fines reach $5.00 your library card is blocked from use. Excessively late accounts may be turned over to a collection agency

Refunds
If you pay for a lost item and then find it within 60 days the Library will refund you the amount you paid for the item minus $5 for the maximum overdue charge. If you paid by credit/debit card the refund will be issued to your credit/debit card; cash and check payments will be refunded as cash. If your payment was by check your refund will be issued 2 weeks from the date of the original payment to allow time for the check to clear.

Refunds for credit card payments can be done at any District library. Refunds for payments made by cash or check can only be done at the Main Library; Monday through Friday from open until 5pm.

The Library does not offer refunds for fines, fees or copies.
