Storytimes Librarian giving Storytime
September 7 - December 17, 2010
No Storytime November 25, 2010 - Thanksgiving

Staff share their love of books and reinforce early literacy skills through age-appropriate stories, songs, and fingerplays in a group setting and parents learn how to foster early literacy skills to prepare their children for learning to read.

Storytimes for Ages 2-3
Two- and three-year-olds (with a favorite adult) enjoy interactive stories songs and games that encourage their early literacy skills.

Storytimes for Ages 4 and up
Children ages 4 and up, who are ready for a group experience on their own, have fun with engaging books, songs and activities as they build their early literacy skills. Themes Fall 2010

  • All storytimes are free, open to the public, and no registration is required.
  • Storytimes start promptly on schedule. Allow extra time for parking and getting nametags.
  • Please honor age limits for each storytime. (Exceptions: Younger siblings are welcome at 2 & 3 year old storytimes. Older children are welcome at any of the storytimes.)
  • Please refrain from bringing food and beverage into storytime.
  • If children in your care become disruptive, please remove them until they are comfortable and ready to listen.
  • For information on how home daycare groups may attend storytimes, please call 221-6680.

Mom with baby Mother Goose Time at Harmony Library

A special small-group program for infants through 24 months and their caring grownups. Age-appropriate books, rhymes, and songs are shared. 20 minutes. Mother Goose Time is scheduled in 4-week sessions on Mondays at 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Register at Harmony Library or call 204-8404.

Peek-a-Boo Time Peekaboo Time

A lively, interactive program full of songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and fun for all! For babies from birth to 24 months and their caring grownups. 20 minutes. No registration is required.

Sleepyhead Storytime Sleepyhead Storytime

Wear your jammies and join us for stories, songs, fingerplays and more! Bring a friend and enjoy the fun. For families with children ages 3 and up.

Animal Afternoon Animal Afternoon 2010
Join Larimer Animal People Partnership volunteers and their special story-loving critters. Enjoy good books and the opportunity to read to friendly animals. For children in grades K-5. 40-60 minutes. For more information call 221-6680.

Noches en Familia NOCHES EN FAMILIA - Family Nights
¡Ven y disfruta un tiempo de cuentos, manualidades, canciones y películas en español!

Come and enjoy a time of stories, crafts, puppets, and songs in Spanish. Each month we will celebrate a special Latin-American holiday or tradition. It doesn't matter if you are a fluent speaker or are just interested in listening to the Spanish language and learning about the culture; this is the place for you! Noches en Familia is a free event for all ages.

Martina la cucarachita linda: Latino Stories and More

For generations, people have been enchanted by the story of Martina the Cockroach. Come and enjoy this bilingual puppet version of the famous Cuban folktale. All ages are welcome to this fun family event that includes songs and a craft!
