Old Town (Main) Library Remodel
Webster House Administration Center
As part of the remodel and expansion of Old Town Library, the administration, collections, systems administration, maintenance, and outreach staff will be relocating to new offices. In November, over twenty employees will move to the historic Webster House at 301 E. Olive Street-a stone's throw away from Old Town Library. The Library District has purchased two-thirds of the building. The Wilkins Trust owns the other one-third and is allowing the Library District to occupy the whole facility lease-free for three years. This move will free up an additional 3,000 square feet of the interior design at Old Town for collections, comfortable seating, and study rooms bringing the total amount of new public space at Old Town Library to 9,000 square feet.
