We provide informational presentations and citizenship classes to individuals seeking to obtain American Citizenship.
Informational presentations offer the basic steps and requirements to apply for citizenship and are held in different sites in the community. If you are interested in hosting a presentation please contact Johanna Ulloa, Outreach Services Manager, at (970) 416-2012.
Classes are offered in partnership with The Family Center, free of charge. These classes aim to help eligible immigrants to pass the U.S. Citizenship Exam. The series of six (6) classes are held at The Family Center on Thursday evenings, during various times of the year, and cover U.S. government, U.S. history, and the rights and responsibilities of being a U.S. citizen. Participants must meet or exceed a third grade English language skills test. During the last session, an immigration lawyer will help participants with their N-400 form and answer commonly asked questions.
