Who can volunteer?
Why volunteer?

Volunteers are the most important resource a community organization can have. Working for the betterment of the community in which you live is a win-win for you and us! The stereotypical volunteer has changed for the better! Now we enjoy volunteers who come from all walks of life; teenagers learning new skills, executives sharing lifelong passions, or retirees enjoying new friendships. We hope that volunteers need us as much as we need them!

Apply Now!

You are welcome to apply using our online form. After the form is received you will be contacted about opportunities that match your skills and interests.

Volunteer Application Form
Typical ongoing volunteer jobs include:

This is an great opportunity for community members who want to help out because they like the library and want to give something back to the community...or for no special reason other than it just makes them feel good!

If you are someone who needs to volunteer for less than 12 hours for a school class or scholarship requirement, or other classes such as confirmation or martial arts, there is a short-term volunteer application form as well as an application to volunteer to a special event.

If you are a college student interested in Library Science as a major or a Business or Creative Writing student who just loves libraries, we have limited internship opportunities available every semester. Just ask!

If you need to fulfill court-ordered community service hours in any amount you need to contact the volunteer coordinator at (970) 221-6740 for pre-screening and to make arrangements to pick up a Community Service volunteer application packet.
